Media Release: AMC Celebrates History on the Eve of its Reform

The 25 year history of the AMC has been edited by one of our very own Chair's, Emeritus Professor Laurie Geffen AM!

PMCQ would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Professor Geffen on receiving this prestigious and well deserved award.  We were delighted to read that he was among the Queen’s Birthday 2010 Honours List recipients of the Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for service to neuroscience as a clinician and researcher, and to medical education.

We are enormously proud of you and the honour that you have brought to PMCQ and the state through your achievements. Your hard work, innovative ideas and selfless dedication to advocacy around junior medical officer education and training have been outstanding. Your wisdom and passion are highly valued within the state especially by the Postgraduate Medical Council, and also beyond in national and international arenas.
