PMCQ has extensively reviewed and developed its Accreditation Policies, Processes and Procedures as part of the Accreditation Project.
Prior to piloting the new system, the Standards and Processes were endorsed at a Pre Pilot Endorsement Meeting which was held on 1 February 2008. Thirty three participants attended the workshop, representating all stakeholder groups including:
Three Facilities (Bundaberg, Townsville and Redcliffe) participated in the pilot process in May and June 2008 to test the new Standards and Processes. The new Accreditation system was introduced to Medical Education Units in Facilities throughout Queensland at the MEU Information Day, held in Brisbane on 15 August 2008 and is now being implemented state wide.
